Arcmaster Supplies Major Welding Equipment Package to Hull Training & Adult Education
Arcmaster is proud to have supplied Hull Training & Adult Education with a major new welding equipment package, helping to equip the facilities where the next generation of welders and engineers will develop their skills.
The substantial order includes 30 welding plants, alongside LEV systems, welding PPE and safety equipment, tooling and much more, all carefully prepared by the Arcmaster team ahead of the centre’s new term in September.
Each welding plant has been fully calibrated, safety tested and validated before being prepared for delivery, helping to ensure the new equipment is ready for students and teaching staff to use.
For the Arcmaster team, this project is about much more than supplying equipment. As a Hull-based welding and engineering equipment specialist, we’re proud to play a part in supporting welding and engineering training within our local area.
A Major Welding Equipment Package for Hull Training & Adult Education
Providing an effective welding training environment requires much more than simply installing welding machines.
Students need access to reliable equipment, appropriate safety systems, PPE and the tools required to learn practical skills in an environment designed around real welding applications.
That’s why the package supplied by Arcmaster brings together a comprehensive range of welding and workshop equipment ready for the centre’s new September term.
The order includes:
- 30 welding plants
- LEV systems
- Welding PPE
- Welding safety equipment
- Tooling
- Additional workshop equipment and accessories
Bringing everything together as one complete package has allowed the Arcmaster team to carefully prepare the equipment before it reaches the training facility.
30 Welding Plants – Calibrated, Tested & Validated
At the heart of the new equipment package are 30 welding plants.
Before being prepared for the centre, each plant has been fully calibrated, safety tested and validated by the Arcmaster team.
For equipment intended for a busy training environment, preparation is an important part of the process.
Students need equipment that allows them to concentrate on developing their welding skills, while teaching staff need confidence in the equipment being introduced into their facilities.
By carrying out the necessary checks and preparation before the equipment leaves Arcmaster, the welding plants can arrive ready for the next stage of their working life – helping train Hull’s future welders and engineers.
More Than Just Welding Machines
While the 30 welding plants form a major part of the order, creating a professional welding training environment requires much more than welding machines alone.
The package supplied by Arcmaster also includes equipment designed to support the wider training environment.
LEV Systems
Local Exhaust Ventilation, commonly referred to as LEV, plays an important role in managing exposure to welding fumes.
Welding processes can generate fumes and airborne contaminants, which is why appropriate fume control is an important consideration in welding environments.
The inclusion of LEV systems within the new equipment package helps support a training environment where safe working practices can form part of the skills students develop from the beginning.
Welding PPE & Safety Equipment
Personal protective equipment is another essential part of welding.
The package includes welding PPE and safety equipment to help protect users against the hazards associated with welding processes.
Learning to weld isn’t only about developing the ability to produce a quality weld. Understanding safe working practices, selecting suitable PPE and recognising potential hazards are all important skills for anyone preparing for a career within welding or engineering.
Tooling & Workshop Equipment
The right tooling is essential for preparing materials, completing welding tasks and finishing work correctly.
That’s why the package extends beyond the welding machines themselves, providing additional tooling and equipment to support practical learning within the facility.
Supporting Safe Welding Training
Safety needs to be part of welding training from day one.
Professional welders may encounter heat, sparks, ultraviolet and infrared radiation, welding fumes, noise and numerous other workplace hazards throughout their careers.
Providing students with access to appropriate equipment gives training providers the opportunity to teach not only how to weld, but how to approach welding safely and professionally.
The combination of welding plants, LEV equipment, PPE, safety products and tooling supplied for this project helps create an environment where those practices can become part of everyday training.
Helping Equip the Next Generation of Welders & Engineers
Perhaps the part of this project we’re most proud of is knowing what the equipment will ultimately be used for.
The welding plants being prepared at Arcmaster today will soon become equipment on which students can develop practical skills, gain experience and prepare themselves for careers within welding and engineering.
Skilled welders, fabricators and engineers continue to play an essential role across manufacturing, construction, engineering, maintenance and numerous other industries.
Practical training facilities therefore have an important role to play in giving people the opportunity to develop those skills.
For Arcmaster, being able to contribute to that process right here in Hull makes this particular order something we’re especially pleased to be involved with.
Supporting Welding & Engineering in Hull Since 2012
Arcmaster has been supplying high-quality welding equipment in Hull and beyond since 2012.
From our premises on Hedon Road, we work with businesses, engineers, fabricators, welders, training providers and individuals looking for professional welding and engineering equipment.
Our services extend far beyond simply supplying welding machines.
Customers can access welding equipment, consumables, PPE, power tools, abrasives and engineering supplies alongside equipment hire, welding machine repairs, servicing and expert product advice.
For customers throughout Hull, we also provide direct local delivery using our own vans.
Projects such as the Hull Training & Adult Education equipment package demonstrate the breadth of support we’re able to provide – from supplying an individual welder or box of consumables to putting together a substantial welding equipment package for an entire training facility.
Welding Equipment for Education & Training Facilities
Educational establishments and training providers have different requirements from many conventional workshops.
Equipment may be used by numerous students throughout its working life, while teaching teams need to create practical environments in which skills can be developed safely and effectively.
Arcmaster can work with training providers and educational facilities to help identify suitable welding equipment and associated products for their requirements.
Depending on the facility and application, this could include:
- Welding machines
- LEV and fume extraction equipment
- Welding helmets
- Welding gloves and protective clothing
- Welding safety footwear
- Power tools
- Welding consumables
- Hand tools
- Equipment servicing and maintenance
Rather than looking at individual products in isolation, our team can help customers consider the wider requirements of their welding facility.

Arcmaster – More Than an Equipment Supplier
One of the things we believe sets Arcmaster apart is the knowledge and support behind the products we supply.
Our team works with welding and engineering equipment every day. That experience allows us to provide practical advice to customers ranging from someone buying their first welding machine through to businesses and organisations requiring considerably larger equipment packages.
For the Hull Training & Adult Education project, that has included preparing the equipment, carrying out calibration, safety testing and validation, and getting everything ready for the start of the new term.
Seeing the finished equipment package lined up and ready to go is something the whole Arcmaster team can be proud of.
More importantly, we’re looking forward to knowing that the equipment will soon be helping people develop skills that could lead to careers throughout welding and engineering.
